The Valley of the Gods is located just off of Highway 163 near Mexican Hat. It is a beautiful drive. The road through here is dirt, and there are several washes to cross, so be aware of weather conditions, and be sure to bring water, as there are no facilities in this valley.
Navajo legend says that the towering sentinels in this valley are warriors turned to stone. |
